After more than three months of planning, the Ibeju-Lekki Career Accelerator Programme has officially commenced, alongside the launch of a new Information Technology Centre at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat.
The programme is being implemented by the Ibeju-Lekki LGA in partnership with LERSA (Lekki Estates Residents & Stakeholders Association), ETMC, Genzaar & AFF under the leadership of the Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa.
The official launch took place today at the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Secretariat and was led by the Chairman, alongside key stakeholders from the Ibeju-Lekki Education Board, ETMC, LERSA, and other stakeholders across the Ibeju-Lekki corridor.
The Career Accelerator Programme is designed to equip graduates with practical and relevant skills that can improve their readiness for today’s labour market. Participants will be exposed to areas including Artificial Intelligence, automation, web design and development, digital marketing, communication, entrepreneurship, and other relevant career skills.
The programme represents a shared commitment to creating more opportunities for young people in Ibeju-Lekki by connecting them with practical skills, knowledge and tools that can support their career and entrepreneurial journeys.
The launch of the Information Technology Centre further strengthens this commitment by providing a space that supports digital learning, access to technology and skills development within the community.
Today marks more than the beginning of a programme. It marks the beginning of a shared effort to prepare young people for opportunities in a changing world.
